NASCAR: 2019 GEICO 500 Odds & Betting Preview

Auto Racing News and Betting Previews | Xbet.ag

The Dragon Energy NASCAR Cup Series heads to Talladega Superspeedway this weekend, with the GEICO 500 set for Sunday, with the race to start at 1:00pm Eastern time and the broadcast on MRN. This is going to be the 100th race held in Talladega — and also the very first race as the 1980s in which no restrictor plates will be used to restrict rates. Instead, a device called a tapered spacer will be utilized, with the exact same function in mind. The addition of aerodynamic modifications such as a taller spoiler implies there are plenty of factors entering the race that make it more predictable. Joey Logano and Brad Keselowski have combined for five wins in the last seven Talladega races, and Aric Almirola, normally a dark horse to the odds record, returns as the defending champion. We’ve got your NASCAR sports betting odds and hints for your wagering card.

Brad Keselowski is the favorite here but provides more value than normal NASCAR favorites perform. He has won the GEICO 500 three times, most recently in the 2016 variant, and he’s five checkered flags in his profession in the Talladega Superspeedway while hurrying with the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series. In his last nine races here, he has five top-seven finishes. He won here after in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. With this»track» record (no pun intended), I’m putting him in my card.
Kurt Busch has been sniffing round the checkered flag all season long, with six top-10 finishes in his past eight starts overall. He’s said in comments to the press he really likes his car this year. He was the runner-up here in 2018, and in his last three GEICO 500 starts, his average finish was 5.3. In his last nine races at the Talladega Superspeedway, he’s six top-10 finishes. He’s one that you should think about adding to your list of wagers.
Martin Truex Jr won in Richmond, and he is among the drivers who will win in streaks. Last yearhe won three out of six races, and he closed out the 2017 effort with four victories in his last ten starts overall. He has not won at the Talladega Superspeedway using the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, but he did win here three occasions as part of the NASCAR Nationwide Series, so he does know what it takes to win here. He’s a little down the odds sheet, so I’m going to make the most of that value.
Jimmie Johnson still hasn’t won in a longlong time, but he’s beginning to creep closer and closer. He arrived in Texas, and he’s four top-12 finishes in his past six starts overall. He’s won the GEICO 500 two times in his profession, and he has four top-10 finishes in his past eight starts at this race. NASCAR arrived at the Talladega Superspeedway twice a year ago, and his average finish for eighth location. Can he grow up as a dark horse? He certainly could.
Joey Logano could already have five victories stacked up this year if things had shaken out differently in the conclusion of some recent races. He comes in with two successive top-three endings, and he’s got a win here and two at the other NASCAR race at the Talladega Superspeedway. In his last seven races here, he has five top-five finishes, and he has three wins here in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. Together with that success, wagering on him is intelligent
